NEW PERFORMANCE HUB OPENS AND IS DESIGNATED AN ‘ALL-STEINWAY SCHOOL’
With the university’s multi-million-pound performance hub raising from the ground, attention turns to selecting suitable equipment for this outstanding new development.
A chance phone call to Steinway & Sons for a price list by the PA to the Dean leads to a meeting with Steinway & Sons’ Institutional Sales Manager, Keith Glazebrook, who comments, “it was clear from the outset that the scale and ambition of this development made the Performance Hub an ideal candidate to become an ‘All-Steinway School’”.
Within a few weeks, an agreement was reached, a trip to Steinway & Sons’ Hamburg factory was scheduled and a delivery of 16 new pianos closely followed.
Dean of School, John Pymm, said, “this is an immensely proud moment for us. Steinway is a brand beyond compare and the University of Wolverhampton is delighted to join the prestigious ranks of ‘All-Steinway Schools’ around the world”.
