Young Steinway Artist Caitlin Wiranata has established herself as a promising young pianist, with her playing often described as sincere and deeply expressive.

Caitlin made her concerto debut at the age of 14 with the Jakarta Concert Orchestra. She has performed solo recitals in various concert halls, including Erasmus Huis, Aula Sinfonia Jakarta, Steinway Hall Jakarta, Yong Siew Toh Concert Hall, and many more. Among her honors are the Indonesia Steinway Youth Piano Competition, the Asian Youth Piano Competition in Hong Kong, and the Best Collaboration for the Mozart Concerto Award.

Caitlin has attended international music festivals, including the Aspen Music Festival, Académie Internationale d’Été de Nice, and the Yong Siew Toh Piano Academy, where she studied piano, vocal performance, and chamber music. She has also worked with renowned pianists such as Yoheved Kaplinsky, Pascal Rogé, Akiko Ebi, Ian Fountain, and Imogen Cooper.

Beyond piano performance, Caitlin is also a film composer. She currently works at Elwin Music with Elwin Hendrijanto on various projects, including advertisements, games, musicals, commissioned compositions, and films both nationally and internationally. Her recent works include a trailer for Lokapala (the first MOBA e-sports game in Southeast Asia), an Indonesian political documentary about Aceh, and the upcoming Indonesian Broadway show Pagelaran Sabang Merauke (2025).

Caitlin is also active in chamber music, regularly performing with her current piano trio, Zephyr Piano Trio. They frequently appear in academy concert series at the Angela Burgess Recital Hall and David Josefowitz Recital Hall. She is an alumna of The Resonanz Children’s Choir and a former member of the Batavia Madrigal Singers, who won the European Grand Prix in choral singing in 2018 and 2022.

After completing her Bachelor’s in Music with first-class honors at the Royal Academy of Music, Caitlin is now pursuing her Master’s degree, studying piano with Christopher Elton alongside a second study in composition with Andrea Balency-Béarn. Before moving to London, she studied piano with Iswargia Sudarno at the Jakarta Conservatory of Music as part of the Young Artist Program.
